Key concepts
Domains
Section titled “Domains”Loomkeep tracks four domains, each with its own library:
| Domain | Catalogue |
|---|---|
| Films, series, anime | TMDB, and AniList for anime |
| Games | IGDB |
| Books | Open Library |
| Music (albums) | MusicBrainz |
Turn on only the ones you use in Settings › Domains; the others disappear from menus, search and stats. Catalogues are searched live: a title is only copied into Loomkeep once someone tracks it.
Statuses
Section titled “Statuses”Every title in your library has a status. Each domain has its own:
| Domain | Not started | Under way | Finished | Given up |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Films, series, anime | To watch | Watching | Completed, Up to date | Dropped |
| Games | Backlog | Playing | Completed | Dropped |
| Books | To read | Reading | Read | Dropped |
| Music | To listen | — | Listened | — |
For films, series and anime, the status follows from what you watch: tick episodes and a series moves to Watching, then Completed. Up to date means you have seen every episode of a show that is still airing. Only Dropped is set by hand.
Rewatches and cycles
Section titled “Rewatches and cycles”Watching a film again, replaying a game or rereading a book starts a new cycle: the first viewing, playthrough or reading stays in your history, and the new one is counted separately. For series, each episode keeps every time you watched it.
Sessions
Section titled “Sessions”For games and books, you can log sessions: a date, a length, pages read for a book, and notes. Sessions belong to the playthrough or reading under way, add up to your time spent and feed your stats. The timer logs one for you while you play or read.
Logging sessions is optional: a book marked Read without any session still counts as finished.
History
Section titled “History”Everything you watch, play, read and listen to is dated, so your history and stats show when, not just what. Imported titles sometimes come without dates: they still count, but can’t show up on a given day.
