Calendar & feeds
Loomkeep gives you private links that other apps subscribe to. They refresh on their own: new episodes show up without importing anything again.
Tracked movies also appear in the calendar at their local cinema release, or digital release when no cinema date is announced. They stay listed whether or not a release reminder is enabled. A movie without a confirmed local date waits until one is announced.
Tracked games appear on their release day, or across their month when only the month is announced. A game dated to a quarter or a year waits for a closer date.
| Link | What it holds | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Calendar | Upcoming episodes, movie and game releases | Add to my calendar on the calendar page, or Settings › Integrations |
| Release feed | Episodes, movies and games out over the last 30 days, RSS or Atom | The same window, under the calendar link |
| Activity feed | Your activity: additions, progress, reviews, lists | Activity feed on your profile, or Settings › Integrations, when social is on |
Adding your calendar
Section titled “Adding your calendar”Copy the calendar link from Loomkeep, then subscribe to it in your app. Subscribe rather than import: an imported file never updates.
- On a computer, open Google Calendar.
- Next to Other calendars, choose +, then From URL.
- Paste the link and choose Add calendar.
It then appears on your phone too. Google refreshes subscriptions every few hours, so a new episode can take a while to show up.
- On a Mac, choose File › New Calendar Subscription. On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings › Calendar › Calendar Accounts › Add Account › Other › Add Subscribed Calendar (under Settings › Apps in recent versions).
- Paste the link.
- On a Mac, set Auto-refresh to every hour or every day.
- In Outlook on the web, choose Add calendar, then Subscribe from web.
- Paste the link, give it a name, and choose Import.
- In the calendar, choose New Calendar, then On the Network.
- Paste the link as the location, and follow the steps.
Following a feed
Section titled “Following a feed”Paste the release or activity link into a feed reader: Feedly, FreshRSS, Inoreader, NetNewsWire, Thunderbird… Pick RSS or Atom for the release feed, whichever your reader prefers; the activity feed is Atom.
Keeping them private
Section titled “Keeping them private”Anyone with one of these links can read what it holds, without signing in. Don’t share them. If one leaks, regenerate it from the same place: the old link stops working at once, and every app subscribed to it needs the new one. The calendar and release feed share one link: regenerating one regenerates both.
