Is Loomkeep free?
Section titled “Is Loomkeep free?”Yes. Everything works for free, without ads. A premium plan is planned: it will sell comfort and higher limits, never take away what you already have for free. Until it exists, every feature is open to everyone.
Are there ads? How is Loomkeep funded?
Section titled “Are there ads? How is Loomkeep funded?”No ads, and no advertising trackers. Loomkeep is made and hosted by one person; donations pay for the server, and the premium plan will, once it exists.
Why can’t I find a title?
Section titled “Why can’t I find a title?”- Its domain is off: turn it on in Settings › Domains.
- It’s an adult title: those are hidden unless you allow them in Settings › Content, which needs your date of birth.
- It isn’t in the catalogue: Loomkeep searches TMDB, AniList, IGDB, Open Library and MusicBrainz live, and shows what they have. A title missing there is missing here; you can add it to that catalogue yourself.
Why does my series say “Up to date”? Why can’t I pick its status?
Section titled “Why does my series say “Up to date”? Why can’t I pick its status?”For films, series and anime, the status follows from what you have watched: tick episodes and it moves on its own. Up to date means you have seen every episode of a show that is still airing; it becomes Completed when the show ends. Only Dropped is set by hand. See Key concepts.
An import matched the wrong title. How do I fix it?
Section titled “An import matched the wrong title. How do I fix it?”The review step before importing is where to fix matches: search and pick the right title there. Once imported, remove the wrong title from your library and add the right one.
Who can see my library?
Section titled “Who can see my library?”In Settings › Privacy, you choose who can find and follow you: everyone, only the friends you approve, or nobody (ghost mode). You also choose, for each domain, who sees your library and your activity. Your notes are always private. On an instance with social features off, nobody else sees anything.
Can I move from loomkeep.app to my own instance?
Section titled “Can I move from loomkeep.app to my own instance?”Not in one step yet. Meanwhile, the complete archive in Settings › Export keeps everything you have, and books move across through the Goodreads export and import. See Your data.
Does Loomkeep work offline?
Section titled “Does Loomkeep work offline?”The app opens without a connection once installed, but needs one to load and save your library.
